Our Story

BTAC is the National Association for Baton Twirling in Wales.  Our aim is to ensure that the beautiful sport of Baton Twirling is developed throughout Wales and that Wales has representation at international competitions.

In 2017, a committee formed with the common goal of developing Baton Twirling throughout Wales.  We had all developed an interest in Twirling and decided to make a difference.  NBTA Cymru was born!  In October 2017, we were formally accepted into NBTA Europe.  This is when the road to Norway began......In March 2018, we attended the WFNBTA World Championships and fielded our first ever welsh representatives at a worldwide Baton Twirling competition.  This was just the start as we march toward our goal of developing our sport throughout Wales.

In early 2019, we were formally accepted into WBTF.  This meant we were unified and we decided to change our name to reflect our unified status.  We are now formally known as BTAC and have a new committee structure in place to support our future sustainability.
